Back To The Basics: State of City 01/26/2020

Pastor Pete Hartwig

Sermon Notes

SLIDE: State of the Church

Thanks to the CityChurch lead team…

Church is a place where we are often called to remember because in the Kingdom of God remembering sets the trajectory for us to look ahead and to end up where God wants us to be.

To be cut loose from our moorings means we will be blown around by every wind of culture and the latest fad.

The church is to be lived out of the eternal always relevant, life giving and time tested Kingdom of God

SLIDE: Biblically Based, Relationally Driven & Spirit Led

Relationship truly is the essence of life

God has sent the Holy Spirit to live out…

“This, then, is how you should pray:

“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.

Making the Lord’s prayer personal in 2 ways…
