This ongoing mid-size group is a ministry of City Church and is open to all men. It’s primary purpose is to provide a weekly gathering opportunity for men that offers encouragement and support in a relational environment. The group processes various topics relevant to men from a biblical perspective. Catalyst meets Monday mornings from 7:00-8:30 at City Church Central (1010 Rio Road).
This is is a group for men who have been impacted in a significant way by cancer to join together to learn more about the spiritual, psychological, and physical impacts of the disease as well as have an opportunity to connect with other men engaged in this fight.
Men who may benefit from the MAC group include those who’ve been diagnosed with cancer (now or in the past); those who find themselves as a primary or secondary caregiver for a parent, spouse, or other loved one suffering from cancer; or those who may have suffered the loss of a relative or someone close to them to the disease.
Our first meeting is scheduled for Monday night, May 6, at 6:30 PM in the basement meeting and conference room of City Church (Central) at 1010 Rio Rd in Charlottesville. The MAC Group plans to meet twice a month—every other Monday night from 6:30-7:30 PM, in the same location. The group will operate from a Judeo-Christian perspective, but all are welcome; it is not necessary to be a believer in any particular faith to attend.
